HOLDING YOUR PUPPY

 

          We will reserve a puppy for you with a $500 non-refundable deposit. This deposit is to secure and hold a reservation on a puppy. This deposit will go towards the total cost of your puppy.

 

          In the event the deposit is taken prior to the birth of the litter, the deposit may be refunded if the puppy does not survive, or the bitch does not take resulting in no puppies out of the breeding. If the buyer would like to hold spot in line, they are welcome to keep the deposit in place for another upcoming litter.

 

          A deposit collected after delivery is non-refundable. The only circumstance that this deposit is refundable post delivery, is if the puppy perished before it is sent to its new home. In this case, the buyer will have the option(s) of choosing: another puppy - if there are any available puppies, credit to another litter, or  have a full refund.

HEALTH GUARANTEE

 

          The seller certifies that this puppy is a purebred Golden Retriever of sound body, good health, and free of communicable diseases. This puppy has been checked by a veterinarian and was found to be healthy. The puppy has received one puppy shot and has been de-wormed; dew claws removed.

 

          The buyer is encouraged to have the puppy examined by their own veterinarian within three (3) days of this sale. If a veterinarian examination within three (3) days of this sale determines it to be otherwise, the puppy may be returned. Providing a letter from the examining licensed veterinarian proves as evidence of this puppy’s illness and the puppy is returned at the buyer’s expense within the guarantee period. It will be exchanged for a puppy of equal value or a refund of payment granted minus the deposit. Seller must be provided with a written report of the dogs health problem from Buyer’s veterinarian. The Buyer assumes full responsibility for all costs and care during this time

 

          I, Ashley Bailey, reserve the option of obtaining a second opinion through my veterinarian to verify reported illness. I, Ashley Bailey, have the right to withhold monetary refund or a replacement puppy until my veterinarian can determine the state of the puppy’s health. Under no circumstances will a monetary refund be made unless the above conditions apply. Buyer will receive a replacement puppy of equal or greater value from our next available litter if this puppy has any congenital defect which results/or may result in death or having to be euthanized, related to said condition, within one (1) year of this sale.

 

          Our Health Guarantee does NOT cover Ichthyosis or Allergies.

 

GENERAL AGREEMENT TERMS

 

          This puppy is considered to be a pet and may not be bred. (not intentionally or unintentionally).

The seller does not have to provide any AKC paperwork prior to proof of spay/neuter.

          If buyer is insistent on getting AKC papers when a dog is sold on a Spay and Neuter Contract, prior to having the dog altered, they can pay for an OSS or tubal ligation prior to the puppy going home. The buyer agrees to spay or neuter this dog between the ages of 12-24 months and mail the seller the veterinarian verification upon completion of operation.

 

          The buyer agrees to maintain this dog in good health, provide routine preventative health care including, but not limited to, inoculation, internal and external parasites, and, where indicated - heartworm preventative medication. Buyer further agrees to provide proper exercise as indicated in order to maintain this dog in proper weight and physical shape. A proper diet consists of top-quality dog food and supplements if needed. The buyer agrees to maintain preventative care of the dog in regards to hip/elbow dysplasia, such as proper nutrition, proper exercise, and preventing stress injuries.

 

          This dog is sold with the understanding that it is to go to a carefully selected home that will make this dog a part of the family.

          The buyer agrees that the seller will REPOSSESS THE DOG UPON EVIDENCE OF NEGLECT AND/OR ABUSE AT NO EXPENCE TO THE SELLER.  The buyer AGREES THAT IF AT ANY TIME THE BUYER CANNOT TAKE PROPER CARE OF THE DOG OR WISHES TO FIND THE DOG A NEW HOME, THE BUYER MUST  CONTACT THE BREEDER (Ashley Bailey). The breeder will have FIRST CHOICE to either TAKE THE DOG BACK OR ASSIST THE BUYER IN FINDING A SUITABLE HOME FOR THE DOG.

          In the event that the dog be elsewhere or ownership transferred from original buyer, this contract would become void (this contract is non-transferable). Buyer agrees to maintain contact with the breeder/seller in regards to dog transfer/home placement and reach out to breeder prior to re-ownership

 

          Violation of this contract will constitute in the buyer’s unconditional surrender of the purchased dog and all registration documents at no cost to seller.

 

          No conditions or warranties other than stated or referenced above are applicable to this sale.

UNDERSTANDING

 

          I understand that once my puppy is born and I have committed to the full purchase amount, that there is 100% no refunds on deposits.

​

          I understand my puppy needs to be paid fully paid for prior to turning 8 weeks.

 

          I understand that if I do not pick up my puppy within the allotted ten (10) days that Dances With Goldens gives, my puppy will be held with the breeder at an additional daily rate of $55 until I can pick up.
